Joe MacDonald is a registered millwright with the Toronto local 2309 chapter, and founder of QS trades. Prior to his union membership, Joe was an industrial mechanic millwright for one of Ontario's largest and fastest growing industrial heat-exchanger manufacturers.
Joe has worked as a millwright technician for Dopplemayr's link train APM at Pearson airport, where he worked on the train body, drive and equipment repairs. Additionally, Joseph was responsible for over seeing major infrastructure projects, non-destructive testing of various materials and general site overhauls.
Joe holds a bachelors degree from Carleton University.
Alex has over 10 years of industry, laboratory and research experience in the fields of material, mechanical and aerospace engineering. Alex has worked extensively in materials analysis, testing and characterization of many different classes of materials.
Alex has collaborated and worked with the Nasa Marshall Space Flight Center Materials and Processes Laboratory and the CSA (Canadian Space Agency) on improving and upgrading various materials.
Alex holds advanced degrees in mechanical and materials engineering from the University of Liverpool.
Alexander is a metallurgical and financial consultant with more than 10 years of experience applied to project viability, identification, design and execution through options analysis & financial modelling.
Alexander holds a Master of Finance from University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management and a PhD in mining engineering from Queen's University, Kingston.
